3D Printing in Dentistry
3D printing has been used in Dentistry for quite some time. However, until recently, the cost of entry was prohibitive for dental offices and even many labs. It was something that was outsourced to other laboratories for cost containment.
However, this technology has evolved and it is now an integral part of comprehensive treatment planning. With the addition of a DLP 3D Printer in-office, Dr Perry, will now be designing and printing more products in-house such as bite splints and surgical guides for implants, and outsourcing only necessary services to laboratories.
